Thirty events will be coordinated with historical, literary, and artistic re-enactments and with no less important moments of reflection on the relevance of the values that the myth of Francesca still represents today in an exemplary manner.
Among the many events of Francesca 2021, many are already in the advanced construction stage. The celebrations in Rimini and in the city of Francesca includes exhibitions, shows, educational activities, and interactive workshops open to tourists, students, and citizens.
In Gradara, castle of myth, among the top events there will be Rodin in Gradara, an exhibition of “Il Bacio” (the Kiss) a masterpiece by the great French sculptor Auguste Rodin, owned by the prestigious Gianadda Foundation of Martigny (Switzerland) in an original cast. Thirty events, thanks to Francesca’s fascination, are aimed at the public with attention and spaces open to social didactics.
Among the educational and study initiatives are an international conference and many Lecturae Dantis (readings of Dante’s Poem) with sessions in the castles of Valmarecchia, which attracted the participation of the most authoritative academics in the world (Società Dantesca Italiana, Dante Society of America); educational activities aimed at teachers and students; recreational activities; guided tours to Dante’s places; and historical re-enactments.
The protagonists in Rimini are: the City Museum, the Malatesta Festival, the Gambalunga Library, the Municipal Film Library, the Higher Institute of Musical Studies Lettimi, the Liceo Classico G. Cesare – M. Valgimigli. In Gradara and Pesaro: Gradara Innova, the Olivierian Library and Museums, the G. Rossini Conservatory, the Rossini Opera Festival (ROF).
