Mega Mascarun 2013፡ ወደ Reunion Island ለመጀመሪያ ጊዜ የመጡ

The first challengers of Mega Mascarun 2013 arrived on Sunday, June 9, on Reunion Island in the bright sunlight of day. After a reception at the Roland Garros Airport to the Maloya, adventurers made their way to The Reef Hotel where they spent their first night.

Both teams are from France and arrived on Reunion Island last Sunday where they were welcomed by Reunion Island Tourism (IRT) as they got off the plane. The brilliant pace of Maloya enthused tourism professionals who just arrived and found themselves immersed in the folklore and culture of Reunion Island.

It was then time for a group photo, and then the participants took to the road headed for Le Reef, located on the resort side of the island, where they settled in for their first night. There they were able to meet locals as well as some partners, such as Mega Mascarun professionals. A welcome cocktail consisting of samosas, jams, and fresh fruit cocktails were offered to them followed by lunch at the Reef restaurant.

By late afternoon, the teams went to the harbor of Saint-Gilles-les-Bains to await boarding for a sunset cruise on the ship Le Grand Bleu. The program included discovering the west coast of the island, music, and “pei” punch and samosas. A friendly atmosphere created a real opportunity for exchange and sharing among participants. Participants were delighted with the trip to the heart of the Marine Nature Reserve where they were made aware of the protection of flora and marine fauna.

The first day ended in a good mood – the best omen for the rest of the Mega Mascarun.
